Sunday Drivers
Hi all,

The time has come for me to sell my car as I recently bought AndyC's Type R and can’t afford to hold on to two!!!

It’s a 2000 mk4 Golf Gt tdi 130pd, black 3dr

Nct’d until 08/10, taxed until 03/09.

140k on the clock but still running very well, had new timing belt, water pump, hydraulic tensioner, new front discs and pads fitted this week.

17” Rs6 replicas with 225/45/R17 Toyo T1-r proxes. About 7k on wheels and tyres.
Plenty of thread left on the tyres

Apart from the wheels car is totally standard.

Car was originally bought in Northern Ireland in august 2000 and was bought by second owner in September 05 and he then re-registered it in Ireland in March 06. I bought the car on 27th November 2006 and am the third owner. Ive had it over 2yrs now and its never missed a beat

Had 127k on the clock when I bought it
Vie serviced it 3 time since I bought it with a private mechanic who worked for a number of years in Mullingar Autos (Main Vw dealer) and he has done all the work to my car. Have receipts for all parts, all are genuine VW parts.

April 06. Serviced. Also changed oil sump and fitted a new oil sensor.
Previous owner had replaced the sump with a spurious part with no hole for
Oil sensor so I decided to change it. Also fitted a new under-carriage tray

October 06. Replaced a wheel bearing and the yellow buffers in the rear dampers.

Jan 08. Serviced. Replaced left hand tie rod and a right hand ball joint. Car could not
be tracked correctly as nut on the tie rod was seized to the threads.

April 08. New wheels and tyres

August 08. Serviced.

Jan 09. Timing belt, water pump and hydraulic tensioner changed. New front brake
discs and pads fitted. Also changed the coolant expansion tank due to a fault
with the sensor in the tank. Kept showing up a coolant level warning light on
the on board computer.

Minor Service due at 143k miles. Will be serviced before sale.

Good points:
Lovely car to drive, especially on long trips
Beautiful looking car.
Economical. 500-550 miles per 55litre fill. Approx 50 mpg on long runs, 40mpg around town.
Always well maintained and minded. Only genuine VW parts ever used
Regularly waxed and polished (every 4-6 weeks), washed every weekend. No swirl marks, paint correction and a major polish/detail done last September.

Bad points:
Stone chips on front bumper and bonnet
Front left alloy is kerbed around part of the rim. Got caught out by black ice @ 20mph at Christmas and rubbed along a kerb.
Drivers’ seat has a tear in it from wear. Can be repaired or price negotiated. Quoted €80-100 to repair

Thanks for reading folks.

Looking for €5750ono

Cheers
