01 wrx for sale /whats it worth

hi all funny post this, friend is thinking about selling his wrx as he wants to get an sti, car is clean well looked after and 2 owners from new, im kinda half interested in it myself and he not sure what its worh,
he has spent a fair bit of money on it since he got it and knows he wont see it back, so we are kinda stuck as to what its worth,
also its on uk plates so vrt on line is €1457
the figure in my head is not big money but still dont want to insult him either,

so genuinely guys whats it worth, or anyone here interesed in it

2001 wrx 81k miles
17" prodrive wheels
new exhaust front to back (not sure what it is)
other than that standard all the way

I'd say same as Robbie, and you'd have to do the sums yourself regarding vrt.

Nice looking car but I wouldn't give 3.5k euro plus vrt
 
get more selling it up north to be honest......
reason being VRT will kill anyones enthusiasm for buying it here!!!
If i was to go looking at it, id expect to walk away with change from 4k after vrt to be honest, that would put the car at just over 2500 really

bonnet vent looks llike from blob . sti spoiler , morettes , wheels , de -tango'd wingdicators . mudflaps , pink grille badge ,gauges and pod .

if vrt is 1500 id be offering in the region of 2000 , maybe a little less .

why is car for sale in republic?? they sell for next to nothing here on irish plates tested taxed etc then vrt and these cars are leaving ireland for uk and making good profit over there,,???
 
sadly probably worth more if he breaks it then to sell it south :icon_hang: VRT is a passion-killer :new_2gunsfiring_v1:
 
sorry guys not been on here last week or two, ok he is english guy living last few yrs here, 2nd owner on car from new but does not want to use up the one time clear car for free offer, orange eng light is on because of decat ????? would this be correct ??? he is on the look out for nice sti and go up a yr or two, he not pushed if it sells or not but im tempted to buy it myself knowing the car and its not trashed around, well looked after, i can get it for €1700 and then €1500 to clear not that il be clearing it anytme to fast as i drive a truck on the contant and only home day and a half a week and them custom boy and girls dont be around the few hrs im home lol so all in all i could have this car for €3200 on irish plates would it be a cheap car at that ?
 
A decat can cause an engine light alright. He obviously didnt get the car remapped after the decat which wouldnt be the best thing so factor in getting the car remapped or putting on the previous exhaust. Here are some 01 WRX's you can see the prices yourself. These are asking prices not sold prices remember but that car has some nice extra's. I'd get that engine light sorted ASAP as if there is an issue with something else you wouldnt know as the light is already on
