Everywhere I read says they will not clear, but I jacked up the car and trial fitted one this evening (without the tyre) and it's very close (3-4mm) but it definitely clears.

Am I missing something here or should I be fine?

You could add a 5mm spacer for peace of mind if its that close?
 
I had thought that but I'd hope it wouldn't be flexing that much?

They're ET46. As far as I know they come in ET53 as well, maybe it's those that don't clear the Brembos?
 
that could be why they fit as the originals are et53 it could be enough to get over the calipers
 
Happy days then! Cheers lads, sounds like I got lucky.

I knackered one of my PFF7s (although getting another Sunday all going well) so these will do in the meantime. I might even move the PFF7s on if I prefer the OZs :)
