I was just inside in soundstore getting a hdd.

But was looking at the £d tv's and testing them out, there fooking amazing and i want one!
I didnt think it was that good.
The fookn ball nearly hit me on the head.

1,500 for a 50in samsung, i payed that for my 42in 3 years ago.

And i guess to get the best out of it, ud need the 3D player and 3D discs. (which aren't cheap)
And the glasses us a lithem battery which are dear yokes aswell.

Now whats the story using it with normal tv, i tried this aswell but it was a soccer match...its not real 3d but something like it, the lad said.
But the pic seems perfect, would i go blind after a while :ponder2:

anyone using it with a ps3 or xbox?

led is good enough for me sean!!!!
its like all this blueray sh*t...
i have bout 1200 dvds and then they bring out blueray.. :angry1: :angry1:
not that expensive at 1500 but arent the glasses 300 a pair or something like that??

i not sure about the glasses, seen somewhere 100 but id say that was if u got the tv aswell.
id say it wud burn the eyes out of ur head after a while, but im not sure.

love the effect of it tho.

a mate of mine got a 50inch samgsung 3d telly a while back with 3d blue ray and surround sound with glasses and a stand think it was about 2500 altogether. went around to his when he got it. the proper 3d only works with the likes of sky sports hd 3d or channels like that but u have an option to change the telly to 3d for any channel with the remote. was dying to bring my ps3 around but its a 30euro upgrade for the ps3 to make it compatable, would say its amazin though. i noticed the picture quality is excellent due to the 600hz technology thats in the screen.

id love to get this set up when gt5 comes out. have a 3d telly with a racing seat, pedals and gearstick be so sweet   prob wouldn leave the house with a set up like that.

but for me as far as normal tv viewing goes id get a normal led tv with 200-600hz technology with sky hd to make the most out of it

Have a 50" panasonic Viera full Hd in the sitting room and a 42" Viera full hd 400hz for the PS3 ....

Picture is amazing with the bluray and full HD with sky etc...

Not enough 3d stuff out yet to warrant changing either

I agree

I know its off topic but as for sky hd, i dont know how its worth 15€ /month on top of your regular subscription :icon_blahblah:

yeah i agree
i bought a sky hd box the other day
and the picture is actually better than the ordinary sky + box on the ordinnary channels
must have a better tuner or something
i also get bbc hd an itv hd free wich does me
i bought the box for 65 euro of a lad on gumtree brand w out of the box
also has bigger storage and a better mmenu
well worth doing

bargain at 65, cost well over 100 trade price. hdmi connection would help the quality even on the ordinary channels

much better picture even with a scart wich was the strange thing
figured it must have a better encoder or something

Not even if it was porn Robbie!!

Hollywood is already turning away from 3D - they believe its just a fad.

I certainly wouldn't be buying just yet, we're maybe 4 years down the road of Sky HD & the number of channels currently available hardly justifies the extra fee.

I was looking at new tv's in Harvey Normans yesterday and to be honest I wasn't really impressed by the 3d tv's. Big let down in fact after all the bigging up the salesman done.

yes you can just plug it in instead of your sky + box
and insert your existing card
but you must ring sky and ask them to validate your card to your new box
there is no charge for this except the phone call
they will ask if you want to upgrade to the HD package and just tell them no
they will then validate your card to your new box
then you can add the free hd channels to it in the add channels section on your box
well worth doing

i wouldn't bother at the moment, as lads have said technology is too new at the moment still , there isn't really any standards for 3d defined yet and you could find yourself with an out of date tv in a year or two, that wont play the broadcasted standard! glasses are about 150 euro for a pair i think. Sure Full HD channels are only coming on strong in the last year or so, and i can see that outlasting the 3D buzz!
