82 Mk3 Ford Escort

Hi Lads,

Trying to sell this for my Dad, his giving up driving, thought i'd try here before i ventured on to "tyrekicker deal, what would you swap Boss!"

Parents bought the car from England a couple of years ago.

Body is in great condition.(Owned by a Ford Fanatic)

Had a 1.3 engine, replaced this with a 1.6 which i bought new from Ford only done about 30,000 miles.

Timing belt was replaced last year.

Front grill i bought for him last year, rest of the car is standard.(even has old Ford radio).

Passed all NCT's now doesn't need one as its over 30 years old.

€55 to tax for the year and Classic insurance is available with these cars.

Would make ideal 2nd car or summer car.

Been parked up before xmas, could do with replacement rear tyres and a battery and a service.

Would like to see it go to a good home.

Thinking about €1800 or ono.

Father drove to Belfast on it last year, drove up and down not a bother.

before my grandad died in the uk , he had a 1983 1.6 escort ghia , was lovely car , had it from new with 80 odd thousand miles , over 27 years motoring

Father was a Ford nut for years, stock pile of various Ford parts, he'd probably fill the boot for you too.
