98 Type R STI with 12 Month Engine Warranty SOLD SOLD SOLD

Have decided to sell my 98 version 4 STI Type R. It is in mint condition and has just had a full rebuild using many Cosworth parts. All work carried out by Couture Auto and comes with a 12 month engine warranty. It is fully run in and mapped by Nick. It’s making 288hp and 255.4ftlb on a standard exhaust at 1.3 bar on standard 95 octane. The car is completely original with the exception of the engine rebuild, Simtek ECU, Equal Length Headers, VF28 Turbo, Walbro Fuel Pump and Prova Adjustable suspension. 60k miles on the clock. NCT 2011. 1 owner in Ireland. Rebuilt engine is just run in. It has Recaro seats and the interior is pretty much as new. The simtek comes with the communicator and dongle.

Engine rebuild consists of:

Cosworth Pistons
Cosworth Rods
Cosworth High Pressure Oil Pump
Cosworth Head Gaskets
Cosworth Kevlar Timing Belt
ARP Head Studs
ACL Race Bearings
Subaru Crank

It has DCCD, IC Spray, Electric Windows, Rear Privacy Glass, Central Locking, A/C, Drivers Airbag, Electric Mirrors, New Sony Head Unit, Boost Gauge, Oil Temp Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Alarm, Outside temperature meter, Raybrig H.I.D Driving Lamps, OZ 17” Alloys, Goodyear Excellence with about 80%. Many other new bits and pieces such as a new up pipe, idle pulley, plugs etc. Contact me for further details.

I’m selling it mainly due to lack of interest and feeling the pinch of the recession. It’s in everyday use and has just been serviced with Redline by Couture Auto. It has a full clean bill of health from Dr. Nick. The 12 month engine warranty is subject to no further heavy modifications. Nick has said minor mods wouldn’t be a problem and would be happy to discuss this and the work done on the car with any possible future owners.

I’d prefer the car to go to a club member so advertising it here first. It really has to be seen to be appreciated as it’s very original and mint. Please PM me if interested.

I have driven this car, absolute mint, probably the cleanest Type-R in the country. For the money an absolute bargain.

Wouldn't take a whole lot to get her up to the limit of the gearbox. She's only 5 mins up the road from ya. You should have a look . I'm sure you could squeeze one more nice jammer into your yard
