How ya lads i need a little bit of advice im on my way to see this car http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=869126 the sales man says the engine was rebuilt i dont know if this is a good thing or what im thinkin the last owner must have just wrecked it ..what should i look out for on a test drive ?? this is my first Subaru and the most ive ever spent on a car so i dont wanna end up buying a banger!!
any advice you have would be great cheers Bhoys
 
Alot of impreza engines need to be rebuilt so now that its done its not likely to go again if its mapped properly. Look out for the same things as in any test drive. Get a panel beater or mechanic to look at it before buying is my advise :)
 
I went to look at a dc5 up there about 7 or 8 months ago

there two brothers that oen the place, cow boys i tell ya

i ask one what is the least he could take for the car

and he said he couldnt take a penny less than 22k

then i asked the other brother (the main one) and he said 18 :ponder:

BTW the scooby was there then so i wonder why it hasnt sold in all that time...?
 
That car was buried in the back one day with damage to the side if its the one I saw about 6months ago
 
well lads went to have a look at that car the words ball of SH*T come to mind and you were right a total bunch of cowboys i wouldnt touch a car in there with a barge poll!!! ...cheers to everyone who got back to me i guess its back to carzone for me ha ha thanks again for your help
 
If you're looking for a clean scooby then have a look in the for sale section here, the members cars are better than the sh!te out there sitting on dodgy dealers forecourts :thumbsup:

its hard to tell whos a cowboy....i was lucky.
richiej has a white 99 sti type r for round 15g on carzone , it looks well,
