so here's the situation .

i have a rare set of 17x7 (et30) bridgestone beo alloys that i had on car before the 18'grids . now have recently gotten rid of tyres , so jus 4 bare rims . two of which have a slight wobble in them and are in need of straightining and some new paint after enduring the wrath of some carbon lorraine brake dust. now as nice a rim they are, im thinking of two options

1 keep, refurb and some proper tyres for driving

2 sell , with or without refurb (as i have my eye on a set of 18's)

how much would be a fair price for a) as they are or b) fully refurbed ?? trying to gauge, is it worth my while.

thinking refurb is gonna cost about 300 :dontknow:

any advice ????

Sell as is, dunno what they are worth but you wont make it back if you spend the money refurbing them IMO.

Keep them
Always thought they looked lovely on your car
Brake dust should come off with the right wheel cleaner
Use neat on stubborn areas
Just be carefully not to scratch them with a brush
Don't refurbishthem not worth it price wise

Diy refurb with some track tyres and let her loose in mondello when the need takes you :icon_headbang:

CL pads are a different animal colm, nothing will remove their leftovers. I actually think its molten bits of disk rather than dust from the pads as the disk wears away at the same if not a higher rate than the pads :eek7:

i loved these on your car Ross , just my opinion but liked these the best of all the wheels ya've had on her

Sounds nasty Robbie
If you keep your wheels clean from week to week
will it still damage the wheels
dont think id ever fit them pads to my car if so unless i could swop them in out for track days

I wouldnt sell these wheels
Like tommy said best wheels you have had on it

dropped off the two "wobbler's " to get straight (bc engineering navan) !
i hear what yous are saying , guess im just thinking the grass will be greener on the other side . tbh im kind of sick i sold the mag oz's i got of johnny-t last year .as i really liked the look of of the multi spoke wheel on , gave a real rally look imo .

SDC13188-1.jpg

so recently ive been considering the closest thing i could find with five main contenders

1 speedline turini (nice but not enough)
2 advan r2 (just too dear)
3 rota gravel (the favourite, like the deep centre and flat spoke)
4 tean dynamics pro race 1.2 (nice , motorsport looking)
5 rota force (would need 9.5 for the look imo )

so was thinking of getting rid of "beo's" and getting a set af rota gravel 18x8.5 as i felt they would give the look i sorely missed with a decent set of tyres for track or jus proper "driving"

and keep the 18x9.5 grids with streched tyres for show !

but should i keep the "beo's" what colour would YOU have them ? whether it be one colour or a two-tone (spokes and edge)
any colour bar gold as im considering the grids in gold :eek7:

any photoshoppers ,feel free to try convince me

thats my story !

yeah dont know why you sold them :cuckoo:
but sure ive sold lots off wheels down the years and regretted it
dont make the same mistake twice :subaru:
