Alternator I presume?

Howdy all

Think I know the answer already but always appreciate an opinion from those who know a lot more than me.

Rdiff temp light came on at the end of a drive yesterday, left it cool down and started up, light still on so not diff oil temp. Then while checking the abs light came on, followed by the battery light. Half the clock lights went off and some flickering.

That's more than likely alternator isn't it? No other issues with the car the last while. Any way to check that for sure without volt meters and what not?
Finally any opinions on brands for replacement - can't say I recognise any of the brand names on auto doc apart from ridex which are on the cheap and cheerful side I think.

Sounds like it but best way is to start the car and measure the voltage at the alternator should be 14-14.4volts output with the engine on

Picked up a multimeter (when did they get so cheap..) and yep voltage on battery around 12.5, drops to 10 when car is running, it's not getting any charge at all. Message inbound Baz!
