He was stitched up because of the legal action he was going to bring against NOTW. It's a blatant hatchet job!

If it was that bad why didn't keys get the boot straight away with him... there is more to it I'd say
 
Gray and Keys were bullies and the people working under them had had enough and decided to get there own back. That is a rumour I have heard.

Sounds a bit dubious to me...If I was the director I'd be firing any technician who let off air material go on air..its a basic function of your job..must be coming from higher up.
I don't know your work situation this just an example, but lets say you where co to a pr!ck of a captain who was making comments you didn't like and you switched on his mic to the tower without his consent..what you think would happen?
At the end of the day these where of air comments between 2 colleagues...I know in my job I call some a cnut at least 5 times a day...if senior management knew what i was saying about people Id be out the door..I'm sure I'm not the only one...that's how people let of steam in a job...luckily for me and everyone else we don't have someone recording what we are saying.
I don't like Andy Gray or keys one bit, but to me it's a complete stitch up., I i doubt any of their subordinates had the balls to do it with out the nob from above.
 
It definitely came from the very top, even beyond Sky I'd say. Must be someone at NewsCorp pulling the strings on this one.

No coincidence that the footage is from after Gray started proceedings against NOTW.
