Annoying "metallic" click / ping noise.

Hi guys, I have this annoying metallic click/ping from n/s front of my '03 Impreza 1.6 TS, only happens when turning at parking speed (not a cv joint noise) its not continus but the one click/ping each time, I replaced both front inserts and top mounts but its still there !!!!
Please Please have anybody come across this problem and a cure ??? :wall:

That'd be my best guess too, but without hearing it its hard to be sure
 
Thanks for the replies lads, I will check out yere suggestions, I forgot to mention that it occurs also if I drive over a bump or uneven surfaces.. :doh:
 
Could be a track rod end. Happened to me a while back, it would just be the one noise and that was it because the joint had worn and there was a bit of play in it. You'd only notice it at low speeds/parking too. Might be worth a check :dontknow:
 
My 1.6 used to do something like that , only happened after i had her lowered , only done it now and again
