Another oil question ?

I'm unsure what oil to use in my forester the car has a good few mods and wasn't sure what oil to use , i usually use mobil 1 5w30 or 10w40
Was thinking of 5w40 ??
Any suggestion appreciated

I was just researching myself and came to conclusion that for relatively standard car 5w40 is fine...
for heavily modded 10w50
