the mother lives in a housing estate and one day a hen turned up in the back garden i think its a hen anyway looks like a hen,
and she started to feed the hen, and now the hen has decieded to stay so last week the hen layed 12 eggs and the hen is sitting on them so i presume there gonna hatch, so what do ye do with 12 baby hens?

besides eating them!!

how long till they hatch?

and what do they eat?

unless they have been fertilised I sincerely douby they will hatch my friend.......

Try the old google machine.... It should hold the answers

If u want to be sure, take a egg and open it. See whats inside.

If its a eating egg, remove the ones she sitting on, she will lay again soon and you can eat them.

You feed them grain that you can buy in most pet stores,
also rice, corn, lettuce, pasta and fruit... as wetpatch said just
remove the eggs as you can eat them.

Take away the 12 eggs, start fresh, maybe build or buy a hutch
and your all set, bit of food for the chicken and you'll have
your own free range eggs.
