Ascona 400 wow

absolute weapon of a car these things.....
Was lucky enough to get a spin in one a few years back..... Can be very tail happy but not a handfull to control...

RESPECT to the old school......

I'm with Yogi on this one :icon_pray:

You saw the thread on Octane about the custom built M3 with the M5 V10 engine yeah? If I won the euromillions I'd commission the same build, fooking amazing :shock2:

Its the rare retro rally pedigree that thrills me. E30 M3’s are common as muck Yogi

€30,000 would buy a fleet of nice cars but the Opel badge has some fanatic rally followers from the 80's and cars with 400 printed on them seem to be well sought after

Personally, I'd prefer to buy something limited edition like the Cecotto and keep her that way.
Changing out the S14 engine from an e30 M3 defeats the whole purpose and meaning of owning an M3. An M5 V10 lump would be way too heavy up front and put the infamous balance and handling of the M3 all off.
I'm all for upgrading brakes & suspension parts, but I'd definately leave in the original engine in an M3.

i advertised this car on here 1.5 years ago i owned it and it was lime green (originally) 70kms german left hand drive a 101 % rot free car 2.2 BUT i advertised it for 5500 euro in standard condition driving perfectly with a ascona 400 interior and i was told i was mad that it would never make that money !!!!!!!!!

this is a well build car from a soild donor car and genuine 400 interior

I'd be more a manta 400 man myself.
