Is it pulsating from 11 to 14 volts or is it permanently 14 volts?
Happened me a while back with my old WRX wagon. Not a big job by any means. Easy to remove and install.
There is a fella alright who reconditions them himself. Don't do what I did and try do it yourself. Lets just say I ended up with more altenators than what I started with...
