Berlin at Xmas?

Well guys just wondering if any of ye have ever been to berlin for christmas fair & markets?

Just thinking about booking it....(need something to look forward to! )

Looks fairly ok for 2 or 3 days.... any input

My wife is looking into booking for us at the moment as well. I wouldn't be on for the old christmas markets but I'd say a great city to spend a few days in!

I was only talking to the missus about this on the way home yesterday, I had done a little digging yesterday about it when I was in work. I was looking at Hamburg (free flights with ryanair at the moment) but would like to hear if Berlin would be better, anyone been?

@brain sti..I was there in 96(could of been 98?) for love parade..brilliant party city if your into that...might meet techno viking!...but there is loads to see as well..monuments etc
