Best rally cars ever on Dave

Middle Lane Hogs
It was on from 6pm-7pm today, did anyone else see it? what a show, They were talking about all the old cars in the group B, all the old cars with 500+BHP holy s***! But just uncontrolable, I wouldnt have remembered or watched rallying at the time but god there was some suicidal cars back than, with very sharp body lines and big flared arches like the quatro and the Pug 205 16T or something, but coming to the end of it they were looking at the more recent group A cars and the introduction of the impreza to succeed the legy, After seeing the old impreza and Colin McRea behind the wheel, It was a good sight, remindering the old days when Mcrea basically dominated the rally scene. Aswell they were saying how the Impreza is an Iconic figure for rallying for all time and that, its good to own a Subaru!
 :subaru:

I wouldnt say McRea dominanted at all...as much as we all loved him ya have to be realistic...Carlos Sainz and Tommy Makkineen of the same era won more rallies and more championships

@dagnut-True but youre just disaggreeing for the sake of disagreeing. Colin McRae is loved because unlike every other driver at the time he drove as HE wanted-not the team-remember the last two rallies of 95? Sometimes his style paid off-sometimes it didnt. Rallying is a spectator sport-meant to entertain-who entertained more-carlos sainz, tommi makinen or colin mcrae?

Entirely agree, I know I watched rallying because of Colin McRea, like everyone else that watched rallying, he drove with his heart and at the bottom of it we all wanted him to win. But it was good to see how the TV show focused on the Subarus at the end of it.
