xbox to ps3 is like scooby is to evo , one performs slightly better , but costs alot more , you'll have less friends and jus be looked at like a bit of an oddball . while any one with a bita commen sense would pick the :subaru: as we did . see where im goin with this .....

i was going to buy an xbox at xmas, but the lad who sets up all my gear (what has an xbox and ps3s) said not to.
there lacking power compared to the ps3, and cant play some formated movies or something.

Also NO BLUERAY.................................till there new one comes out anyway.

one second, free online gaming means Call of Duty modern warefare 2 unplayable on it day of launch because of problems with PSN network! for 25 euro a year xbox live is the best online gaming system a lot of lads in work have ps3 and they all say its muck online.

Also most of the console exclusives now tend to be launching on xbox first followed few months later on PS3. ps3 is more powerful graphically and has blu-ray player. bluray being the only noticeable advantage.

New xbox platform out soon. is there a new PS in the works yet?

it works fine for me, a bit of lag when playing with yanks. and the out of memory thing.
exclusives, yes because microsoft will pay thru the nose for it.
no need for a new ps3 yet, its already set up for 3d games, thats the only reason theres a new xbox on the way because there not.
how long is the elite out.....not too long.
 
The PS3 is far more adaptable too, it takes any 2.5" laptop harddrive, instead of having to pay through the nose for a microsoft hard drive for the x box.

did i hear right that you can't even use your xbox as a web browser unless you pay for xbox live?
 
xbox 360 is out since 2005 with elite out since 2006, so its showing its age now.

Xbox can take any hard drive you plug into it over usb, and can store game profiles and saves now on them too if you format the drive properly.

why would you want to use your games console for web browsing? is that not what laptops are for. web browsing with controller as a gamepad sucks!

well there has to be daily arguments about something! Well to wrap it up all i can say is xbox is better, i was one of the first in the office with one , we then bought one for the office and would play 4 player split screen at lunch MW2. more people wanted in on the action so i suggested everyone buy their own console for their desk so we can player larger LAN games instead. Decision was made to buy xboxes instead as the were priced better at the time and just as a games console is the better choice, so every lunch we have a 12-14 player LAN game for an hour or so, so im a winner!

PS3 is like the Ipad, its trying to be a lot of things but not really the best at any of them!
