Well lads as the title states just wanna get a few opinions here. Spotted a black hawk front end on the bay and it has me thinkin. Was lookin at a good few different threads and it seems to be handy enough done. The one thing that has me apprehensive is weather or not it would depreciate a perfectly straight small mileage blob eye? Any opinions welcomed!

Yea it would definitely but you could take loads of pictures to show the next buyer that there was no damage before you started

Yeah I'd be sceptical about buyin one myself that was messed with but I do love the hawk front but wouldn't be fond of their rear! [emoji85]

It's amazing the difference a set of lights make . Same rear of both cars bar the lights .

Swapped a set of blob rears onto my hawk and made big difference.

I don't think I'd swap the blob front for a hawk one though . For simple reason it's taking away from originality of a straight car .

If you do decide to change and you get sti hid lights you have a bit of work with automatic headlight leveling sensors and head lamp washers to make her right for nct purposes.

Front panel, wings, bonnet, headlights, bumper think that's it and there's a bit of messing putting on front panel I think! Read that somewhere before she mightent be totally correct!

Ah scratch that idea so! Jus got excited when I seen it on ebay

Usually when I get excited by something I see on the Internet it's definitely not eBay I'm on haha!!

Bug to hawk makes sense as you jumping 2 generations but blob to hawk makes little. This said if you not bothered by resale value and explanation involved and is what you want why not. Also I think you need the front clip too, its more to it than just copy-paste.

Yeah it's full front panel and all but nah I'm happy with the blob front infairness I'm jus very interested in doin the swap so maybe down the line if a bug eye came up cheap it would be worth doin

A know a guy who is actually doing a blob to hawk conversion. He's flying through it but in saying that, he has taken apart and rebuilt many scoobies over the years. You would really need to know your stuff but anything is possible.

Have a look at outcast scoobies on Facebook. Jonny doing swap and should be loads of pics
