My Engine lasted 1 hour yesterday at the vip day at mondello and was only running 0.7 bar boost it done a piston .And i just got the car back from getting the head gasket done.. Car ran good for a while but on low boost and them bang loads of smoke no power and a bad noise limped back to he pits.. Had a good day besides some nice motors i was the only scooby though..
 
No way id say your sick only at .7 and it went that will be expensive but subaru's always are but have to love them

Detonation. Probobly the cause of the gasket going in the first place. Was there any hint of a misfire.

I have no idea way as yet .Dont think it det as i was running over 100 octane .Think it was a weak pistin...
Looks like my new rebuild is sooner than i thought..
 
Good news ..The lad you works on my car is rebuilding me a new engine for free... Hope this won last more than an hour ?????
