Boost on 2003 wrx Sti

Should be 0.9 bar standard

Don't think it was any different with the ppp
 
Would have thought that myself.. My boost gauge is reading 1.4 Thinkin the gauge is wrong though :clocks:
 
Maybe it's a remapped car and now is running 1.4 bar of boost???

If not, it won't last long so be careful, is it holding 1.4 bar or just reaching that for a split second, if so it could be a few things
 
No it holds 1.4 but I'm sure the gauge is wrong because it's not the power of 1.4 bar .feck all difference from a few others I've bein in which have bein standard to. Wonder is there a way of fixing/ setting the gauges ??
 
There one of the best games on the market, so I'd be surprised

Maybe the hose size is wrong or sensor is goosed
 
my old mapped blob sti was running 1.4 bar boost, never any problems with it, both martin treacy at westward engineering and robbie at tdp map d blob eye sti at 1.4 bar boost and say its very safe at that on that particular car.

just incase you guys taught i said, it wont last long at 1.4 bar of boost, i mean unmapped it wont last long!!

if mapped obviously for boost and fuel it would be grand

On the controller for the genome gauges there's a button peak .. When I press the button the gauge goes to 1.4?? Any1 else have these gauges controller ???
 
How long ago did you buy it? Surely the seller told you if it was mapped or not?

To surmise what's already been said, if its mapped at 1.4 thats fine but if its boosting at 1.4bar and not mapped, you'll be in trouble soon.
 
To the best of my knowledge it's not mapped or never was.. The boost gauge is sayin 1.4 but as I say it's not the power of 1.4 bar.. Bein in a few standard blobs and not much faster. Surely at I.4 bar it would have a lot more power than a standard 1 hence why I think the gauge is reading wrong .
 
Best thing to do get it dyno'd and the air fuel ratio and boost checked .
€80 usually......instead of guess work on a forum
