boy racers not welcome in killarney

Totally agree, but cops were no where to be seen at night for the west Cork rally. Every public car park was a drifting ring. Despite drafting in extra cops from Cork city. They need to be visible at night, not just directing traffic. Looking forward to a great rally. :653:

normally we get a blast on radio kerry after the rally about the boy racers. but this week its been on at least two programmes on the radio before any rally has started. also looks bad for a tourist town like killarney with car parks in shopping centres guarded or shut down. we lost the curcuit of ireland years ago over a few drunks fighting and breaking windows around town it would be a shame if this rally went the same way.

Thats you fooked so Anto, they won't let you in, ha ha :icon_lol:
[/quote] ah unfortunately I don't fall into that category anymore. I'm a man racer now :police:

i like a few rings to look at now but if any of us land in to killarney in a subaru's we are going to painted with the same brush thats how it is

ABOUT TIME!!! used to have a toyota 86 (twincam) for the track years ago, i detest the site of them every may bank holiday weekend, ruin a good rally for everyone, they have no interest in the rally at all.

i dont mind them doing it up in molls gap at 3 in the morning. but in hotel car parks is a joke, cant sleep at all and its dangerous there. if they are going to crash let them crash into each other in their tin cans :icon_evil:

RANT OVER!!! :subaru:

Good rant

Seen some eejits in an empty B&Q carpark a few years back acting the maggot.

"Rev, rev, and power slided straight into some shopping trolley bollards"

I was embarrsassed for the chap :wall:, all he's pals laughing at him.

God to be young and stupid again

At the age of 21 driving a subaru i am often thrown into the boy racer category :icon_evil:

there was a time when i would have thought that a lad down rings in a carpark for the dogs B****** but since i have become a semi pro drifter the last 2 years i think all those ae86's should be taken out from under them and put to good use on the track. not only toyota 86 drivers, anyone doing that carry on the same should be done.

last year we pulled out of the rally HQ on the saturday night at closing time and on the MAIN cork -kilarney road the N (whatever), they were pulling rings in the middle of it and no one would pass, with not a guard in site.

For me this week cant pass quick enough for the rally to come, been looking forward to it since the galway international, but dopes in crocks of scrap with 10ft CB ariels hanging off their cars making the roads between stages dangerous makes you think twice about bringing your prised pocession of a scooby :new_puppy_dog_eyes: God forbid :icon_cry: i wouldnt hold back at them with a pair of these :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

LAST RANT OVER,

sorry

Good to see the motor clubs pushing this initiative. These gimps give genuine rallying fans a bad name, and will end up putting more pressure on the sport in terms of securing road closures, permits etc.

i have been going too the rally since 1991!!!! i have missed 2 rallys because when i went back the amount of s**mbags and "10foot cb aerials" around the placed was mad,and you wouldnt feel safe walking around.so i came home again!hopefully this year will be a good 1

Ive no problem with CB's and the likes...
I have 1 in my own yoke for when i go to Rallys etc. But me and the mates use them for when we get split up or if someone gets lost!

Young lads need to cop on and realise that Rallying should be kept off the road unless they have the license to do it properly

Yea at times we all put the hammer down, but only when we know we are far enough away from danger!!
when it comes to rallys etc, you never know what is only around the next corner!!!

Same as road racing, My parents live about 2 miles off the Tandragee 100 race track, in the last 2 weeks at all hours of day and night ya can hear young lads on bikes practicing on open roads cause they think they can get better lap times than the pros.........
