Looking to move a ntl point and power point onto the opposite wall in the bedroom, as we got a sliderobe wardrobe in and need to relocate TV onto a different wall. Can anyone recommend the best approach for doing this as tidy as possible without having cables on show all over the place. I was thinking of pulling the cables back up into the attic and then running them across and back down the other wall.anyone see any problems doing it like this?

Ya pull them back up into the attic and down again. I know someone who put them down the cavity but it would be hard to do.

i was hoping to run them down behind the plasterboard but i'd imagine the insulation would get in the way and i wouldnt be able to feed the cable down the way easily. Maybe if i carved a channel out of the plasterboard, run the cables then plaster back over the cables. Or is that just being to messy?! Need to get a new wall mounted bracket too that has tilt, pan ans swivel design

i managed to re-run the NTL cable down to the other wall by feeding it down into where the airvent is on the wall, now i need to move the power point to but i don't really fancy messing with the electrics myself, just to be safe!

you can take a feed from the existing socket back up into the attic and then down trough the drywall. i use conduit lid to fish cables or else fish rods. you could also identify the cable in the attic and do a juncion there and then fish it down the wall. any cable joints should be in an approved box or in the existing socket and 3 x 2.5 square cable used. depending on the structure of the stud wall in the bedroom you should only need a small hole to get the cable down, but as with everything the more you do something the better you get.
