Just need some info on a good camera to buy . I had Sony cybershotdsc w1 for years now and never gave bother but sadly it died over the weekend .. Any idea's on a good middle of the road camera. there is so many out there now I haven't a clue what to buy

if you want a proper camera, i would go fro either the Nikon D60 or Canon 450D, both Digital SLR's and can get great photos but a lot bigger than your normal point and shoot compact camera. depends on your budget and preference in size of camera. compact camera size, the Panasonic Lumix are very good

Deffo try and stretch the budget to a DSLR Gerry, it will stand to you and give you great results over the standar digital camera.
Wait for Harvey Normans to bring back that 16% off Sale and you will get a fairl good bargain there
