camping redcross

Animal spec-c

Petrolheads
to try balance what i spend on the impreza i bought this about a month ago for the kids for going camping, last weekend was our first trip to redcross in wicklow,we had a great weekend and to my suprize very comfy its a 6 berth with gas/elect and running water, fridge, awning very easy to erect and pack away and light to tow, suits our needs and kids love it.

the season is almost over usually ending end of oct but many camp on into the winter, our plan is to get her out once more the end of oct then put away for the winter, the from paddys day on get away as many weekends as we can the hit frnce for 2 weeks in the summer the camp sites there look amazing and we are all very excited bout heading there next summer, the unit is a conway cardinal clubman folding camper, any members into camping or caravaning?

Al... You better be towing that thing with the Spec C at speed... otherwise you're just another one of those buggers who clogs up the roads driving at a snails pace!! :p

no shes not goin near the spec c!!tows at 100kms with her zafira no probs jamie!! but been a 1.6 petrol some hills can be a challenge but correct gearing helps, few mods planned a 4ft table for the awning, power inverter and an awning light for now.

joking aside the kids really enjoyed the 2 nights away which was the main objective and the missus enjoyed her self so im happy out i can spend another 10k on the car not that`s justification :boohoo:

That's class man looks great and id say the kids love it

my dad bought a camper van a good while ago and is never out of it, i take it when ever im going to visit the in-laws in carlow, he has a swift sundance 650g camper, when the season starts next year and the new baby is a bit hardy we are going to take full advantage of it

here she is in carlow

and my oldest Jake loves it cant get him out of it, here he is up in his perch enjoying a film in bed

i was going to go the camper route aswell danny but the cost of storage and seperate insurance and then once you arrive on site when set up and ya wanna head off for a spin you have to pack up, so this set up suits us very well but saying that i still think campers are cool and especially if ya can get it when ya want and not need to worry about storage ect :icon_grin:look up the french camp sites there amazing we cant wait to head over nxt summer

I know what you mean it can be a pain packing up all the time, we bring the bikes now so we just cycle anywhere there is great storage in the back, we where eyeing up my dads motor bike for it and it will fit just need ramps, now that would be handy, they use Red Cross all the time and love it and hidden valley is also

hidden valley is there sister company afaik but they close the end of sept so we went with redcross there closing the end of the month till paddys day, hidden valley is suppose to be deadly as well they have there own lake we will try there nxt season
