Anybody know where I can buy some high temp 105c capacitors? Need a few to fix my Samsung tv. Tried maplins but only a few in their jervis. Branch. Any other shops I can try?

hi dan, we deal with peat wholesale and radionics so if you have no luck gimme a shout and ill send our van driver over for them. i would need more accurate details or a link to what your looking for. so would need the voltage and what micro farrad they are.

look's like your having the problem with your lcd not coming on or taking age's to come on, i couldnt find 105c anywhere so i just used 85c same 2200uf 10v just not 105c, 6 months on still going strong

i would prefer to get ones with the same uf. its seems the problem is there is 3 1000uf 10v capacitors in it all went bad so ill replace them with 3 1000uf 16v or 25v like the rest of the ones in the tv that are still fine.

Ye it takes a minute or two these days for my tv to turn on, clicking like crazy, seems its a common thing on certain batches or samsungs

yea it seem's to be common alrite, if you havent desoldered anything yet and can wait a while samsung repair it for free if it's a capacitor problem. I dont think you can change the voltage rating to anything higher than the one that's in it, but if your one is 105c you can drop back degree's.

from what i have read the reason the blew was because the voltage rating was too low on them. upping them to 16v means they can take a higher voltage so should be more durable than the 10v ones. Its out of warranty 2 years so i cant see Samsung fixing it for free.

oh is that what it is the guy in maplins told me i couldnt change the voltage rating :angry1: . i read somewhere that even if it's out of warranty they will still repair it free once it's capacitor related, but on the other hand cost's less than 10 euro for the part's and 20 minutes to repair might aswell do it yourself as it could take week's to get your telly back from them.
