Certificate of Conformity

Alright Lads,

I took delivery of my Spec C today and want to bring it to home/the UK in a few months, as well as myself :D However, a few people have mentioned that the car may not be able to get a "Certificate of Conformity" if it has less than 5000kms.

What is a "certificate of conformity"? Do I need one? If so, where can I get one?

Thanks,
Moh

Hello Mr Muss,

You will not be able to get a cert of conformity for you car. This is an EU cert saying that it complies with EU emissions laws. As you car is a 2.0lt Jap spec it does not meet euro four emissions testing.

You will have to hold on to your car for at least six months from the first date of registeration, following this period you will not need a cert.

As you live in Japan, contact the revenue central vehicle office in wexford for more information, as they might give you dispensation seen as though you live abroad.

There phone number is 00353 53 9161200

Cheers,

Michael
