Cheap CASTROL in Halfords!!

As above... if anyone is interested.... Halfords on Belgard Rd are selling 4lts of Castrol Magnatec 10w40 for €20.00 down from €42.99.

Possibly in all Halfords stores... but not sure.
 
would this oil be better than mobil 1 10w 40 its 32euro for 5ltr,ive a b4 legacy 01 which would be best and does it not needf nearly 5ltrs for a change?
 
why does anyone go to halfords there oil is constantly dear.. magnatec in halfords here is 46-48 euro and in a local motor factors 22 euro some saving.. they sell castrol gtx for 14:99 same oil is 28 or so in halfords.. madness
 
I think it's only the 10w40 magnatec. Quite a good oil and definitely value for money at €20.

I was only in getting wipers when I saw it.... I use to buy this through my local motor factors for €23... but struggling to get it anymore as distribution in smaller motor factors of Castrol is shocking. Couldn't resist it at €20 a bottle... cheap as chips! Bought enough to do at leat 20-30k miles worth of oil changes in the wagon! :icon_biggrin:
 
castrol magnatec is great oil for 20-25 euro without a doubt.. dont know how places can list it at 40 euro+ when the smaller motor factors are giving it away.. i use it regular in my daily and im gonna but it in my 2.0 sport this week when i service her
 
tried local motor factors today for this and they wanted 40 euro for it. Are Halfords still selling it for 20 euro for 4 litres? Was in C+R today and Noel said they now use Mobil 1 super 2000 for servicing cars there and had the 5L container for 42.50 euro thats cheaper again in Halfords, 30 euro at the moment, would prefer the Magnetec if they still do it for 20 euro but its showing up as 42 euro on their website
