I'm about to buy a WRX imported from the UK.
Before I finally commit to purchase, I want to get its' history checked out.
I have the VIN number from the test drive.
Is there a service I can use online which will verify that the VIN number belongs to a Subaru Impreza WRX, date of registration, ever crashed etc. Basically all the things you want to know about a car you are buying.
How much will it cost ?
I've actually come across a free service (www.autobaza.pl) which lists the engine as "1.8 4WD (FOR: IMPREZA) / 2.0 4WD (FOR: LEGACY)" and Fuel as "Turbo".
Seeing as how I thought I was buying a full 2.0T WRX, this is slightly worrying !! It's a 2004 Blobeye. Does a 1.8T even exist ?!? I didn't think so. I'm hoping the site is just wrong !!
