I'd love to know what these conversions are like. On paper it seems like a winner,turbo engine in a classic golf.
Wonder how they drive though?

This would be my own personal choice. I almost bought one last year but I wasn't 100% sure about that particular car.
Very rare on the roads now and not many for sale either.

Thought they where a 3.0
was the old one a 2.0 litre

They came in a 2.0,2.5 and 3.0 but you don't see many 2.0 around.

For the weather we're having today... A MK I MX5. €2,500-3000 will get you a fairly clean one and that leaves a few bob for some subtle upgrades or... if DIY, maybe even a turbo conversion.
