Correct wheels for a '99 Impreza Turbo 2000 UK?

Kingers

Sunday Drivers
Hi guys, just bought a '99 Uk spec Turbo 2000 saloon and have been doing lots of reading here to get up to speed on specs / frequent issues etc.

One thing that is buggin me is that I'm not sure if my car has the correct wheels on it, I don't want to post a pic as I'd like to see what you learned scoobie folk have to say first... thanks in advance.

there are 2 versions i think
version 5 car

on version 6 cars late 99 on

think that is right :ponder2:

They are either standard 5 spoke or the thinner 6 spoke in silver that came on the last of the UK classics. My own has the latter!

Cheers lads, ok here is mine -

They are 17's. I thought they could have been original as the MY '99 pic in the 'know your impreza' article has the same rims on it, albeit in black - http://isdc.ie/about_subarus.htm

How do I know if mine is a V5 or V6?

And anyone know what sort of rims mine are and if they are in demand?

They are either Prodrive PPFS or more likely Innovite Redline copies.. Not standard for that car, originally were WR1 WHEEL

If you were lucky enough that they were Prodrives you could get 400-500 for them. Look at edge of rim, it will say the make probably

Cheers, they are Innovites - they are very clean, is there much demand for them?

Chortle Chortle :D

Won't be selling yet. Are the standard wheels easy enough to source in silver?

They are a nice wheel, had a set on my old B4 legacy. They wouldn't be too much in demand as such but still worth a few quid, they are quite cheap to buy new so the majority of value would be in the tyres thats on them.

Cool. Did the standard wheels come in different colours from the factory or were they all silver and ended up being painted gold - I see a lot of gold ones around?

Majority you'll find would be gold from factory, may have been gold from Japan, silver from Uk, someone else might know

always wondered about the gold ones
was it optional from new
or was it limited versions like gt 555 etc :ponder2:

Paint them a dark colour and lower it a bit

Tempting but to be honest I want to keep the car as original as possible, I think there is something saleable and valued by keeping it original.

I've been down the road before of mods and I know that the car is capable of a lot more with some mods but I'm never going to use it for more than road use, I have another toy for the track
