Crazy parents

The dog is probly likeing it even if it is a stupid thing to let your child do!!
Its all about the way a dog is brought up...

Heres my dog a kid could kick him and pull his tail all day long and he would never react
all he would do id try get away...
my old staff died at 13 and in all her years she never so much as barked at a person (hated other dogs )
but as i said its all about how their brought up.

edit for pic

thats a bull terrier scania

totally different then a pit bull terrier, i had a bull terrier up until a few months ago and they are a great dog,YOU train a dog to do what ever you want it to do ,if you want it to get on with kids or weather you want them to be a guard dog its up to you , they are not born to bite every thing that moves.

to be honest im a bit pissed off by what you said, you are tipical of some one that knows nothing about dogs and tarnishes a dog on how it looks,

plus there is no such thing as lock jaw, some dogs jaws are just stronger than others

and that nut job that took the picture is the responsible owner of the dog and knows that the dog loves that kid and would do anything for it,do you think that the dog just lied there for half an hour letting the kid write all over him because he wanted to rip his head off.

unfortunatly pit bulls get a bad name because scumbags and gangsters fight them for money, but these dogs are not just thrown into a ring and faught, there trained from puppies for it and straved for days before a fight and then killed after wards if they cant fight another day.you will never see a pit bull that is trained to fight on the street being walked buy it owner as the owners dont give a sh*t about them.

p.s. nice dogs paul

Sorry to offend anyone lads but i didnt know there were different breeds of that dog and was taring them with the one brush. Always taught that breed were violent, my bad

no worries fella, here a heads up on the three types of bull terrier

first one is a BULL TERRIER
second is a STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER
and the third is a AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER, if you google any of these dogs you will find out how great they are

We have a rottweiler at home lovely and playful good, with kids, think it all depands how

the dog is brought up, bit like people i suppose. I remember hearing that on average it tends

to be smaller dogs that do alot more biting, its just a "certain type" of dog that makes the head lines.

Someone told me lately that they are a great dog to have growing up with kids but when they get to a certain age they just snap and then your in trouble.

Not bull terriers...my mate is a bull terrier breather been around them for years..he a has 2 kids never had any problems

its nothing got to do with the breed pete, everyone and there dog get a bit more grumpier in there old age

still wouldnt trust any dog with a child.....
you hear too many stories of dogs mauling kids....
maybe i just have a bad conception of dogs coz i have no interest in them full stop..
even though my brother in law absolutely loves them so far as they sleep in his bed and have full use of his house....
:cuckoo: :cuckoo:

Agree with the above! Completely unfair how certain dogs get unfair criticism because of one or two horror stories heard in the news throughout the year! Dogs are brought up to react however you train them to react! I foster dogs from the local animal rescue and throughout the years i've had loads of different dogs from terriers right through to pit bulls and dobermans. My house is usually full of kids too. Never had a bit of trouble with the bigger 'vicious' dogs! Terriers gave me more hassle!

I agree with the lads that its all about how the do is raised. I think unless you are going to breed them, then have them neutered as pups. You don't miss what you never had and it makes them a lot more placid. Only works though if you do it when they are pups

Check out this fella, BEAR is his name, he's a neopolitan mastiff, orignally from Italy, they go back as far as the Colosseum...

They are known as the best guard dogs in the world, they are breed this colour so you cant see them at night, they stalk the same way a feline would, like a lion, & when they attack they jump up and punch you to the ground with both paws. this fella isn't fully grown, he is 14 stone at the moment. Hes a savage dog, hes a family dog and is great with the kids, he wouldn't harm them at all and would protect them with his life..... i love this dog
