Anybody caught in the storm near Tipperary today?
I have to say i properly did not know what to do i could see it in the distance but Jesus when i reached it it really was driving blind.
I went from 120klm to maybe 20klms in seconds and put my hazards on it was like somebody with a fire hose on full whack i had to just keep driving as it was impossible to see the hard shoulder. i had my daughter watching behind us for lights,the miss was basically looking everywhere and i was trying to stop us floating of the road from the amount of surface water.definitely one of the scariest times i have ever had in a car.

Just spent few days in Kerry what a place for driving :thumbsup:
 
Coming home from cork yesterday saw. A huge storm cloud off to the left in the distance I think it was round Tipperary
Looked like a wall of rain falling out of it all right glad we missed it
 
Got cought is a shower yesterday not in the car tho I was out in the yard filling a water bucket and in the 5 or so seconds it took me to run back to the garage I was soaked from head to toe, mad how fast it comes on then just like that it stops
 
The lad I used to work was on hols in Majorca about 10 year ago lovely sunny day on the beachnjust one big black cloud no rain no thunder no warning just one lighting strike on the beach killed one poor fooker and five badly hurt
 
ya we got those of those today on the drive, it was crazy! like you said your driving blind and almost coming to a stop. better safe than sorry.
