I was meant to get round to writing this statement regards recent events over at SSO last week but my ten month old little girl has a had a very bad chest infection and cold so have not had time til now..

Early on. Now fast forwarding about 12hrs to about 2am or so myself and P1Alan had
Bit of an altercation where I struck him. Absolutely and utterly 110% my fault and I fully accept all responsibility to the incident and truly apologise to any hurt and anguish this has caused to himself, his partner and his family. I hope for both of us to get past this someday and possibly forgive me for my actions and become friends again in the near future.
The second incident involving Carlo was also out of order on my behalf. As all of us had a large intake of alcohol things were being said were in normal more sober circumstances you would turn the other cheek as such. Again I fully accept responsibility that my actions were unjust and out of order and again would like to sincerely apologise for any hurt, anguish or upset this has caused to himself, his partner or his family. Myself and Carlo have made up no problem. We have known each other for about 8 years and we will remain strong friends as before.
There are a couple of points on the statement from club Id like to point out as inaccurate.
First one is regards wearing clubwear at time of incident. I was not as was wearing plain t-shirt.
Second is regards being PUT to bed and returning down 1hr. This is totally untrue. When we returned to Hotel myself and ISB4 went out to garden of hotel beside lobby. All this happened from town to hotel in a 30minute timeframe. I would like to strongly point this out as this would make things pre-meditated which it certainly was not.
Third one is regards allegations of not apologising to lads involved. Again this statement is untrue. I apologised to P1Alan at 8.30am the following morning. Carlo at 10.30am when we arrived at SSO and ISB4 as he was there at the time in hotel, later on Sunday evening after SSO back at the hotel.., And of course Niallyboy as well.
I fully hold my hands up to being out or order and bringing a downer on a trip for the lads that was Im sure very enjoyable otherwise so I just like to say a huge apology to them.
Ive been in club for about 4 years and have always strived to constantly promote it and was on committee for a year and a half and have spent many hours and own expense at times promoting and working hard for the club non-stop as have my family at times where help was needed. So the last thing I ever wanted to do is do anything to affect the club. Believe me that there is nobody more disappointed with me then I am myself. I always have the clubs best interests at heart and unfortunately years of hard work go down the drain in 30mins of misjudgement and out of character behaviour through alcohol consumption. I think its very very easy for someone to make a mistake under the influence of excess alcohol. Not sure if all their hard work should be forgotten about for this silly mistake though. Im sure most of us have made grave mistakes because alcohol in the past. For me this was very much out of character.
Once again Id like to apologise to those involved and all members of the ISDC.
