mate just ran a check on a volvo v70 for his dad on mywheels.ie and its coming up as scrapped
could it be a crashed restored job or more series?
should he ring the dealer or report it to someone else?
he is very safety minded and would hate to think someone could potentially be buying a death trap
i must say car looks mint but suppose you never know

could be a write off that was repaired and not certified as so or maybe as simple as the site has it wrong would check the reg with local garda they should able to tell him

Could have been a financial write off rather than a structural write off. In that the insurance company thought the damage outweighed the cost of the car and wrote it off, then the owner got it fixed for less.

Very easily done, the estimate could have been for new genuine parts (eg. doors/wings/bumpers etc) and the owner got the parts in a breakers instead.

Best do some digging around though and find out which
