On the way home last night at 7pm I was driving past Cappagh Hospital and as I approached traffic I noticed 4 blokes on the path beside me and one was carrying a like a small baseball bat. I noticed he looked pissed and then out of nowhere he jumped towards my car and smacked the bat off the side hitting just below the window on the rear passenger door. I was driving at about 25km at the time. I contiued on another 20 meters or so and pulled in and rang the cops. The 4 blokes heading into the traveller houses on the left. The Garda arrived about 15 minutes later and I explained. They said it was unlikely they would get anyone...... Ah well.... fcukin knackers.... dont know why we give them houses to live in..
 
Sorry to hear this mate, theres nothing worse than having your car damaged, and especially in the way you said. And the fact that the gardai can or will do nothing only further exasperates the situation :evil:

But can I suggest some of the follow on posts be edited (by the people that posted them) as this is a public forum, a post made tarring all the traveller community with the same brush & the use of certain names in relation to them could be picked up by the media or traveller support groups & give us a very bad name.
 
Oh god, it was meant as a joke. We are hardly going to form a linch mob with pickaxes and fire torches and chase them out of Ireland.
 
why is it unlikely they will get anyone. im sure you could identfiy him. if it was me or you that did it the cops would be knocking on our doors
 
i would easily identify him.... but would i want to is another question.... The guy was about 6"2 and about 16 Stone with a shaved head and a traveller..... I am not a small bloke but I would not fancy standing up in a courtroom in front of his 34 brothers and say yeah that him...
 
i completely understand that. i was just tryin to say that the attitude the cops seem to have taken is that its over already :angry:

i think the problem is that if you aren't afraid of going to jail for a day or two then there is nothing the cops can do.

hitting a car with a bat x 1 = warning

hitting a car with a bat x 10= Fine

dont pay the fine & go to jail for a week. the prisons will let you out after a day.

so if your not afraid of jail there is nothing the gards can do.

I make a point of making as much noise as possible when going past travellers on the road.

Lets say its 4 in the morning and I'm driving past a rubbish tip ( ie. travellers camp site ), I slow right down and hold the horn and rev the car as musch as possible to wake the cúnts up.

My little bit of payback for their lack of insurance and tax on the road

Have heard of certain drivers of emergency services that do the same.....

well... the bad news. just dropped down to a garage and they said it would be about €500 to repair......rang Quinn Direct and they said that if I claimed for it I would have to pay €190 excess and I would lose my 3 years( almost 4 ) NCB.... WHat a pain in the ass... I can guarantee this, if I see that fcuker tonight on the way home I promise I will run his fat skinhead over.
 
If i was you id get back on to the garda about tell then you want something done, thats a load of b*llox.
 
Had a bit of trouble myself before xmas , two of them were spotted trying to get into my garden, Im hoping they meet Samson next year. :whistle:

Im training him to mind the car keys, fook the house :D

Sorry to hear your bad news.
Try your insurance again because my brother was just involved in an accident, somebody drove behind him in a car park while he was reversing. He hit the side of them.
Anyway, he had 40% no claims bonus but due to the claim he'll lose 20% of it. Not all of ot luckily.
