Dunboyne Park and Ride

I'm going to Croker on Thursday and am half thinking of driving to Dunboyne and getting the train from there as I imagine the capital will be full with people and traffic for the day that is in it.
I can't seem to find much about the park and ride on google, not even where it is exactly. I'll be coming from Galway, do I have to branch off to the M3 to get to the P n R??
Is it worth while? or should I just keep going to Dublin??

if your coming from galway dunboyne is a bit out of the way...

ye could get the train or bus from maynooth....

cuming from navan , id pass the p' n r' on m3 jus after dunboyne toll (or jus before ). and cant say id ever be tempted to park up and hop on , id always drive in to the city and find parking or drive in as far as possible and take the "louis" ( but i have yet to get on that either ) .
drive ,park,walk !!!!!

Def maynooth is the handier for ya. But park in the glenroyal car park across the road. Safer spot IMO.

Thanks lads.

Dunboyne is out of the way and I had thought about going to Maynooth but I remember when I was in the Glen Royal a couple of years back that there was something about people parking in their car park because it was safer than at the train station car park and that the Hotel didn't like it. Is there any chance that they'd clamp me if I was in their car park?

One other thing, I notice at Parkway that I'd have to get out at the Docklands if I came in on the P n R?

@mac mac I'm gonna sound like a proper bogger here, I would drive all the way to Dublin and park except that I wouldn't have a clue how to make my way around there :icon_grin: especially if there are roads going to be closed for the parade.

I am not too sure in the glenroyal,if you go in and park to the left its grand but i got a note b4 for parking in the main area goingto work, never seen a clamp on any car but point to note if you are going to do it :thumbsup:

Thanks Gretts, that's good to know.

@Kielyb4 thanks for the tip.

I had a look at the car park via Google Street View and it looks ok, I think I'll be able to park there without stepping on anyone's toes. :)

Thanks again, for the help lads. :thumbsup:
