just wondering i have my car registered but i have never taxed it. is there any curve ball the government can throw at me if i go to tax the car after this deadline thats coming

U will have to pay back tax unless u fill out a form that states that it's not on the road and is signed by the guards. But I'm sure u probably know that already.

I would not say it will be long before they start trying to implement the new regime to cars registered already

To be on the safe side I would tax it before the deadline, they have done so many u turns at this stage, they seem to make up the rules as they go along.
