evo 8 gsr?

Hi folks,quick little story mate of mine has a 00 type r same as mine brought them in from japan the same time,He was just on there earlier looking at getting a 03 evo 8 gsr,not really a fan of the evos,but this looks nice the car is going very cheap its a mutual friend of ours,starting up a company in oz,so he needs to sell,the evo is just touching on 100k miles,so bascially the question a 00 type r v limited with 58k miles for a 03 evo 8 with a 100k miles,would you do it :thumbsup:
 
Tis big enough milage on the evo but having said that my brother has a 05 Evo 9 with 79k on it and never had a bit of trouble with it. Last owner blew the turbo in it and thats all that has gone wrong with the car.
 
Would very much depend on how the car was minded ...
if it was well cared for and never really abused then it could be ok ,
but if its had a hard life then you could be walking into a load of trouble ....

personally i dont go near cars with 100K+ miles ...
 
Thanks for the advice passed it on,think his going to keep,heard serious crank walk problems on high mileage evo's :thumbsup:
 
If minded well,mapped properly, later model evos are bulletproof.
