But surely the whole point of Subaru isn't just about getting 1 up on Evo owners. The last line really worries me "Neither car is quite as quick as its immediate ancestor though."

So what is the point of this new car - the majority agree that its actually uglier, and now we hear its slower too, I can't see any saving graces here for this car.

so far the subaru fans out there are not liking the new model and the motoring press dont like it much either, but on the flip side of that when ever subaru have come out with a new impreza completly not many people have liked them at first

have you seen the video?? the new Impreza starts at the back of the grid, the previous model starts at the front of the grid and the new Impreza beats it by a second, that sounds like its a lot quicker than the last one. whereas both Evo X's finish last, and the Evo 9 beat the two of them!
