ok I'm still on the hunt for a diesel hatch to give the scoob a rest during the week! :icon_grin:
Had my eye on a golf but not sure now, I'd like to get the gttdi but a bit pricey :eek7: and the insurance company is trying to charge more then insuring an sti :shock2:

Have any of ye had any dealings with the VRS Fabia? 1.9TDI 130BHP

Nice little car and insurance isn't bad?

had one. not a thing wrong with it, sinead, my cousin has it now and loves it. it has the same engine but seemed an awful lot livlier to go

As per Dans recommendation, I would definitely recommend you give the Ibiza Tdi Sport or the Ibiza Tdi FR a go before goin Fabia or golf route.... Ibiza is a lower insurance group and has the same engine and transmission as the GTTDi Golf...... (from 03 upwards as far as I remember).
I got rid of my Ibiza tdi sport to buy the Wagon and tho I dont regret doin it.... I definitely miss the Ibiza.....
Lots and lots of torque, Roundabouts were great fun..... the ibiza was one of the best cars i ever owned.....

Thats in the North.... VRT is Cheap on these too..... I VRT'd mine last year and paid 645 euro for a late (december 03) model
