FOR SALE! My Dad's GTO Twin Turbo, Manual

My Dad has decided that he now needs a practical car! something more "grown up" sencible car since he turned 58 recently!
So he's getting an 2.7 TT RS4
So he's looking to send his beloved GTO to a good home!
He has owned this car for I think 10 years, around the time that the first gran tourismo came out and the two fastest cars were the skyline and the Gto, He always drove the GTO and I always had the skyline! It's cool how we ended up with these cars in real life!
She got a complete respray last year to freshen her up, and he got the 17" toora wheels painted aswell,
Gearbox was Re-coned a couple of years ago, (clutch release bearing rattles a bit)
She has an induction kit, HKS super dragger cat back system with single 5.5" pipe!
She's a 3 litre V6 with twin parallel turbos, (they work together) she has long gearing so he averages 28MPG and pulls along in top gear nicely at anything over 60kph
She's delimited and windes off the clock all to easily!
I tested her at 5.5 sec 0-60 years ago ( not doggiung her)
She was supposed to be able to out corner a Ferarri 355? I read that somewhere! (edited due to inaccuracy)
She's very nimble because of the short wheel base (shorter than a VW golf) and very wide stance, and sits lower than standard!
Momo steering wheel and gear knob,
A good sound system with CD changer and loads of speakers and a sub!
My Dad was a mechanic for 20 years and serviced the car very regularly,
He is as honest as they come, so he'll tell you about any little heckup the car has ever had,
She is a manual twin turbo which is rare and she you can trace alot of her history!

Open to offers on this lads. She hasn't been driven much at all in the last year,

Savage motor.. one of the first cars I really liked as a kid.. you say it was designed to out corner a 355.. was the 355's not out until 1994 though

I was sure I read that somewhere years ago and was very impressed! so I remembered it! :lol: Obviously wrongly!
Maybe it was just a comparison between the two cars!
Being AWD with the active aerodynamics front and rear and active suspension, she would probably hold more G's aroung a bend!
It is a long time since I drove it quick, but I do recall she was some car to go, with a very long power band!

Is €4,000 fair?? if not offer something!

Indeed, As far as I know, they all did!
You wouldn't notice it while driving, Unless you have a more sencitive arse than me!
Getting the exhaust sorted this weekend, she's blowing a bit some where!
After that she'll be grand, she has served my Da well for many many years, but 60 is just around the corner and he just feels silly in her now!
If she doesn't sell this year, I'll give her a sending off she deserves im mondello next year, rather than letting her go to waste in the garage!

She's had a whole new exhaust system, Down pipes right back to quad pipes,
But much to our grumpiness after forking out for all that, it turns out the turbo elbow, (literally the only part not replaced) has a crack in it!
FFS
She'll need about €200 of an elbow and tops 5 hours labour to sort, so that is defo not going to happen,
Any takers for €3,000 or €3,500 with the elbow done?
She's gathering dust there! poor thing!
