Anyone know anywhere decent in Ireland you can get a french bulldog puppy from? Only place herself has found is in Northern Ireland and she is looking for 2 grand for them!

was your misses watching the film "due date" or something dan?

i read up alittle about the breed and they are a house dog so cant stay out side as they find it hard to keep there temperature in check with there flat face, they also dont like to be left on there own for long hrs of the day and prefer human company then other dogs.

i dont know anyone breeding them but i would check out the irish kennel board for breeders

i dunno where she got the idea from, they make ideal apartment dogs, since they dont need to much excercise etc, and she would bring it to work etc. Should keep her mind off babies for a while!! :icon_hang:

lol i thought the same man so i got her a boxer like she wanted and it didnt work trust me :0

My mate is breeding them over here but you won't get one for under 1500 sterling(his are 2k) so if it has good pedigree 2000 euro is about right.

Does he do an ISDC discount? :)

Where are they so expensive? Thats 1000 euro less for the Subaru if she gets one of them!

I've heard these dogs snore :icon_lol: and are very sensitive overall.
They suffer on lots of diseases on the overbreed basis,

thats mental money for a dog!

got my wee dog for free,

wouldn't change him for the world goes everywhere with me..

ye its kind of mental money for a dog that can potentially have a lot of health issues in general, need to try convince her to look at different dogs. Anyone recommend a small dog that is suitable for apartments that doesnt need lots of room?

Not sure Dan, supply and demand I guess...they are lovely pets ,really nice temperament BUT they can be a nightmare with other dogs...his one is grand but..they are absolute fanny magnets as well..we had him out couple of times last summer and the amount of girls who came overt to gush over him was unreal

[/quote] maybe a staff would be a good alternative. great temperament, very loyal and loving and cheap compared to the french bulldog
