Gas Boiler Servicing

Anyone know what is actually done during a gas boiler service? Does it affect efficiency when not done? Our own is probably well overdue and see bord gais are offering a service for €79.

Anyone here gas registered?
 
Yea it runs better sh*t from inside falls into the burner and stops it working properly
also for your house insurance you need a cert God forbid anything should happen you are covered
 
Gas is a very clean fuel but it's worth getting it done once a year. There is good few checks that needs to be done and also make sure a flue gas analyser is used and get a print out from the engineer . The print out is basically an emissions over view and should be in spec with what's in the manual for that particular boiler . The clean of the burner and this set up correctly will make sure the efficiency is bang on
