OK before I crack this thing off the wall I said I'd ask here as I know your all a very helpful bunch
I have a hero3+ that I had not been used in a few years
It all works grand as in powers up and beeps and all that lark.......my problem is I forgot the Poxy password and the old app I used from my phone has long gone.
Can anyone on here wipe it and start again fresh, I know you can go online and push this and twillel this but to be honest it's above my pay grade......
Also I don't have or know where to put a Poxy card reader to upload new sh1t.....
Can anyone help please

Plug it into laptop go to go pro site Keith when u plug it in u can transfer files update software ECT..

What's the password on the go pro?

It's looking for the camera name but it's that long since I used it I can't remember the name lol.......but I have a new name for it now C.unt.....????

There is instructions on GoPro site of how to reset password. Very easy to do. Search their faq and it will give you exact steps.

Open the zip file on your computer.

Drag and drop the folder called “UPDATE” to the memory card. Make sure you copy the folder to the card. It will not work if the files are not in the UPDATE folder.

Eject the microSD card from your computer.

Insert the card into your GoPro whilst the camera is off.

Turn on the GoPro, it will come up with a screen saying it is updating, and turn itself off when complete.

Turn your GoPro on and connect to the WiFi using your device.

Done.

See I haven't got the little adaptor to take the micro SD card I'm sure PC world have them for a few quid I'll go over later

memory card reader is what you need. if you have laptop most have it build in :54:
 
I have a slot in the side of a hp laptop but I need something to click the little cars into to slide it in to the bigger port if you get me

Will that do the same job as the card reader because I need to reset the card with the code that's on the camera
 
Didn't work for me. I had to physically put the card in the laptop.

When did you last buy a mobile phone keith? Most androids come with a microSD adapter nowadays. Have a look through the boxes.

I'm in town later I'll pop into easons I'd say they might have something or them cheap shops in moor street
