I was in Oz a few years back and I remember seeing many cars with damage like that. I asked a fella at work and he said a year back they had a savage hail storm and it destroyed 1000s of cars. Obviously many couldn't afford to repair it so they just drive around anyway. Golf ball sized hail would do some serious damage alright

Happened in my old neighborhood back home. When you walk you see which car was there that day including my fathers. He said the insurance fixed only few newish cars, rest of them are just driving like this one on the photo
