Required for twinscroll turbos on the japs, some rap off them high up in the revs.

Something hypnotic about the unequal though..
 
The unequal is what subaru is all about but the equal is mental as robbie said high in the revs they sound epic,i always loved the sound of nics spec c with the blitz
 
No comparison in that vid, first one sounds like a subaru, second one sounds any car with an exhaust system!
 
Yea knew the unequal gives that classic boxer warble and the twin scroll cars have equal

Also the new 2015 Wrx has equal and Sti has unequal...

would it not be the other way around Ciaran

wrx =unequal
sti = equal for twinscroll

like it always has or have they changed it?

Thought the new Wrx being a new 2.0 ej was equal & hence people were giving out it didn't sound like a boxer and they the new Sti with the ej25 remained unequal mabay the jdm 2.0 2015 sti is twin scroll though as jdm cars have always been....??
 
The new 2 litre is an FA not an ej engine , completely new design , basically a brz engine with a turbo

Is the Sti not only available in the ej25?
Don't think it's two scroll Johnny but could be wrong
 
Unequal for me...

The few torques and Hp's, and it is only a few, can be got other ways too and not having the signature boxer warble is too big a price to pay for me.
