Heading to Kerry

Thinking of heading to Kerry for a midweek break with the Girlfriend

Could anyone recommend a good Hotel or B&B down there

Was planning on staying in the Clarion in Limerick City but just a bit to far out from kerry

Could go to ballybunion been a few years since i was down there but its a lovely place to visit on the seaside

nice hotel with secure underground carpark

if you have any respect for your car , you wont bring it anywhere near the ring of kerry .....
every time ive brought a car into that b*astarding county , its come out with its suspension in bits

done the ring 2 years ago when the car was new , never again , way to bad a road kept smacking the splitter of the road

Half the wifes family are from Kerry

Beautiful part of the country.... But my car stays here when we go and we travel in her BMW

Its a lovely hotel, rooms and showers are huge :tongue:

They say the Sheen Falls in Kenmare/Sneem is fairly fancy Tommy although expensive aswell. Lovely part of the country thou. Another spot I like down that direction is West Cork and Baltimore, Glandore in particular.

The drivers in Kerry are lethal , the roads are worse and think i've had at least one heart attack

one numb nut in a civic pulled out in front of me outside listowel ! Dunno how i stopped in time only inch's to spare , and he road past guiness in listowel is a joke , surprised my shocks aint busted or wheel buckled

Takin the girlfriends car if i ever head back down ,


On the plus side 4star hotel cost 99 quid for the night , and 1.5 tank of e5 for round trip to dingle from wicklow ,

Heading to Dingle on Monday with th other half for a few days Tommy... where did you stay down there? Any advice on places to visit...?

I ended up staying in the clarion in limerick city after , been there few times before so knew what i was getting ,

ATT Jamie , as sad as it sounds go see the dolphin fungi , 16 euro each but the missus will love it , There is an aquarium in the town 2 , lots of walks and there is some boat trip out to the surrounding islands ,

Everything is over priced but its actually worth seein the area , Inch strand is few miles away and kilarney only 45 minutes handy drivin


Didnt stay as long as i should but my Grandfather took ill so had to spin back to where he lives in limerick county


Some nice hotels in tralee Jamie , good central point to see most of that side of kerry
