Help with Internet Forum problems

I'm having a problem with my internet when looking at forums. Basically, on the isdc, when i press 'post' the page attempts to load but just sits there without redirecting to the topic again. The post always goes through ok but i have to click away from the page and go back into the thread to see the post. The preview button works perfectly.

On scoobyireland, I can log in, see the main page, click onto the different boards but when i click on a post it just sits there attempting to load. Then if i click the thread again the page goes completely blank and just sits there again. This happens on all threads.

This is happening on both my laptop and desktop, and on all my browsers, mozilla, IE8 and IE9. I have cleared the cache, deleted my cookies, history, etc completely and still the same. Running Avast anti-virus on both computers but the problem was occuring before I downloaded avast onto the laptop.

The laptop is running Windows 7 starter and the PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate. I'm thinking its something to do with my settings on Windows 7 somewhere as my older laptop running XP has no problems at all.

Hoping someone might have a solution or know a possible cause?

Try running an anti spyware program and defragmenting hard drive, Sounds like its being hijacked half way thru opening!!!
defragmenting on a regular basis is essential to the maintenance of the filing system
Malware/spyware could be slowing the whole thing down and making it trip over itself

I have malwarebytes and avast and have run both quite recently so would've thought they'd catch whatever was there. Strange that its happening on both computers though, the pc is only set up in the house a week or so and happened from day one :dontknow:

There is not enough information on either machine to require defragmenting, they are basically both soley used for the internet at the moment

try Google Chrome to and see if it acts the same

Will try it now, worth a shot

Has there been any changes to the setup of the router / internet?
maybe just reset/restart the router. Could be an issue with the line coming into the house?
have ya tried doing speed test of the line to check its running as it should?
are you running programs like Vuze or other download clients at the same time?
Are you running port forwarding?

Could be one of a hundred solutions to look into man

Its a plug and play 3 usb modem. Speed is over 2mb which i tested recently. It was a fresh install into the pc last week and was happening straight away. Started happening over a month ago on the laptop.

Not running any of the other stuff you mentioned

Nope, exactly the same as mozilla and IE :icon_sad:

Does the internet work correctly on other sites?
ie freeonlinegames.com and other applications online??

Hard to diagnose a problem without sitting in front of it, just trying to rule other things out etc at present

Could you please run IE without any plugin?
launch run (start + R)
type in: iexplore.exe -extoff
[/quote]

Did that so hopefully this works..

Nope, didn't work :icon_sad:

Did you delete your internet temp files? there is a set amount of MB set for tempory files.

Also go into add/remove programs and uninstall anything that has toolbar in its name.

if you have problems still ring me at work 027-71576.

Nope, I can't view any threads on scoobyireland at all. Just starts to load then does nothing.

Tried freegamesonline there, a game begins to load and then doesn't follow through, just goes black where the game should be :comp26:

I've only deleted the browsing history, cookies, cache, etc, through the web browser. How do i delete the temp internet files?

in IE - go to tools --> Internet Options --> In da middle of the window you will Browing History click on " Delete " --> Tick all the box's and sure you tick " Form Data " ---> the click Delete at the bottom of the window and wait about 3mins and then click ok and thats it.

if you still have problems do ring me, this is my job :) we'll get it sorted!
