Good to see them remembered. Can remember that day. Was sitting watching it with my father. God rest them.

to the 96 that passed away at hillsborough on that fateful day
now looking down with smiles so proud
you sing with us as we sing aloud
you help us guide us get us through
i know istanbul was down to you
and though the future is unknown
one things for sure
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

Justice for the 96

whats with the sun, friend of mine was over for the blackburn game and said it was everywhere ?

The Sun newspaper ran a horrid story a couple of days after this disaster on their front page...basically saying Liverpool fans at the game were doing unthinkable things...its not even worth repeating but hardcore Liverpool fans & most decent people since that point have boycotted touching that rag of a paper.

Yep they ran a front page headline reading 'The Truth' and underneath made horrible claims which were since found to be totally untrue.... :angry1:
The Sun had a readership of 200,000 in Liverpool before this and now they have about 12,000......

RIP from a United fan! Times like these that you realise football rivalries are completely insignificant!

R.I.P 96...Y.N.W.A sad program tonite shed a few tears watching it hearing the players and the familes of the people who lost loved ones, and how they were treated..

Well done to Man Utd requesting to wear the black armbands as a mark of respect during their match against Porto, as the commentator said, "even with the rivalries both on and off the pitch between Liverpool and Man Utd, some things are just more important than football."
